At Last! Marketing Ads that "Whisper" directly to Your Brain.
November 18, 2010 0 CommentsEver hear of "neuromarketing" before? Oh, you will soon. Or rather your brain will. A small group of companies are developing these "neuro-ads", each one with suitably cool, corporate and totalitarian Sci-Fi names like MindLab and NeuroSense. When all the hype is boiled away though, these "neural" marketers are just taking what normal marketers do to the next technological level.
While modern marketers survey responses of test groups to their various ad schemes, these "neural" guys basically ignore your conscious opinion and measure your brain's electrical response instead. After which, they hope to create ads that touch on a deeper level than...let's say..."Buy 1, Get 1 Free" appeals.
Should make for nice polarizing political battles down the road. You may read about it in the New York Times article below:
