New Type of Quantum Entanglement Allows "Teleportation in Time"
January 18, 2011 0 CommentsQuantum entanglement in time qualifies for me as the most exciting news of the day. In general, quantum entanglement describes the phenomena where two subatomic particles share the same physical states despite having no apparent physical connection. Current theories state entanglement can be used to "teleport" information faster than the Speed of Light, such as an experiment last June where scientists teleported data 10 miles instantaneously.
Now, two Australian researchers, Jay Olson and Timothy Ralph at the University of Queensland, claim they've discovered the same phenomena occurring in different time periods. Granted, reality has to catch up with the future and become the present before they can verify their experiment. So, no talking to your future self is possible...
...yet. =)
